Who Are We?
This non-profit civic club was founded on May 19, 1977. We are a member of KIWANIS International. Our worldwide project this year is to ELIMINATE Maternal Neonatal Tetanus (MNT), in cooperation with UNICEF and KIWANIS International. Our goal is to raise 110 Million dollars.
Our club has about 35 men and women members. We meet every Thursday morning at 7am at the Village Inn Restaurant, on Route 1 north of King Street. All are welcome to our meetings. A breakfast is served for $8.50. We support several local organizations and high school Key Clubs and elementary school K-clubs.
The Objects of Kiwanis
>To give primacy to the human & spiritual rather than the material values of life.
>To encourage the living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
>To promote the adoption & the application of higher social, business, & professional standards.
>To develop by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
>To provide, through Kiwanis Clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
>To cooperate in creating & maintaining that sound public opinion & high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, & goodwill.
